The Rutland Area Art Association dba Chaffee Art Center invites artists to submit applications for juried artist membership. The Chaffee is a non-profit community arts organization with a mission to promote member artwork and community art education. Members and non-members may apply. Once accepted as a juried artist member, a membership fee of $90 must be paid. Memberships are non-refundable.
Benefits of Juried Artist Membership:
- Opportunity to exhibit & sell artwork in our 7–8 exhibits during a calendar year, including our annual Holiday Member Show
- Able to display for sale up to 10 items in our Gallery Shoppe
- Participate in Free workshops offered exclusively for artist members
- Highlighted in a Feature Artist Article on website and social media
- Advance notice of exhibit openings, special events, classes and workshops
- Invitation to member only events, sales, and discounts
- Chaffee Art Center e-newsletter
- Listing on our Artist Member page on website (with link if provided)
- Representation in our social media
- Access to our Lending Library offering selections in a variety of mediums and practices, as well as famous artists and museums
- Option to be considered as a Featured Artist (see below)
Featured Artist
Juried artist members are invited to submit to be a featured artist with a solo gallery during an Exhibit. Once accepted as a featured artists, there is a $100 exhibiting fee.
Review and complete the following regulations and application for jury artist membership. Applications may be email to [email protected] or mailed/dropped off to Chaffee Art Center, 16 South Main Street, Rutland, VT 05701.
