Saturday…Rug Hooking Guild “Hook-In”

The Green Mountain Rug Hooking Guild SUMMER HOOK-IN, DEMONSTRATION, and TAG SALE will be held on the Chaffee Art Center grounds in Rutland this SATURDAY, 9am–3pm. Rug Hooking artists are encouraged to attend this event that is open to members and non-members! The Summer Hook-In is FREE to the public who are invited to stop by and visit with artists both inside and outside as they demonstrate and even teach a little.

While visiting, be sure to explore the Exhibit “THREADS…featuring Fiber & Fabric” which is on display through July 19.

The Exhibit title is the theme for the first floor galleries with work highlighting over 50 pieces from community fabric artists with items such as handmade quilts, hooked rugs and more! Chaffee artist members’ work is on display and for sale throughout the rest of the mansion and on the second floor, as well as in the Gallery Shoppe that is filled with handmade treasures and gift ideas for any occasion. Be sure to take time to explore the 1890’s architecture and be transported back in time. As a special feature, our middle gallery will showcase Vermont Samplers during the 2025 Vermont Sampler Driving Tour.

Note: The fee for Rug Hooking artist participants is $10 to go toward rental.
