Bethany Conner Live at the Chaffee
June 7 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Bethany Conner will be performing live at The Chaffee Art Center in Rutland on Thursday, May 7th starting at 7pm. This will be the fourth installment of a new music series at the Chaffee, that will continue the first Thursday of each month.
Bethany is a Vermont singer/songwriter whose music captures some of the timeless concepts surrounding love and loss through the eyes of a young adult. Bethany enjoys playing out mostly in greater Chittenden and Franklin County areas. Her passion for performing means you’re as likely to see her playing at a coffee house or local bar as you are at a benefit, a fair, or a grocery store.
Bethany finished recording her first EP, “I’ll Tell You” in 2015. The songs are straight acoustic guitar and vocals, all completed in one take. These raw recordings give the songs a genuine feel, where the unprocessed performances give a more intimate feel. Bethany is known for her soulful, fluttering melodies that have often been compared to Joni Mitchell.
Bethany’s talents are being recognized across Vermont. She has been featured on WCAX’s “The :30”, Carrie Henry’s “Local Spotlight” on 104.7 The Point FM, Sean Casey’s “Measure for Measure” as well as being featured in a few documentaries.
Bethany was the 2015 Grand Champion of “Vermont Has Talent”, the First Place Winner of the 2015 Essex Has Talent Teenage Group, as well as a Finalist in the 2014 Advance Music Singer/Songwriter Contest.
Tickets are $7 at the door and the show starts at 7PM.
This event is for all ages.
