ARTIST MEMBERSHIP

The Chaffee Art Center cordially invites artists residing in Vermont and within 50 miles of its borders to submit applications for juried Artist Membership. The Chaffee is a non-profit community arts organization of statewide significance, providing dynamic fine art exhibitions and a full line of educational programming. Take advantage of this splendid opportunity to show and sell your work in our handsomely restored Queen Anne Victorian mansion, listed on the National and State Register of Historic Places.

Benefits of Artist Membership
As an Artist Member, you are invited to continually exhibit your work in our beautiful members' sales galleries. You may keep up to five pieces here as we rotate work with each show. Members are also invited to be juried for our Featured Artist's Exhibitions and are eligible to participate in our popular Members' Shows and other special exhibitions. Members also receive:

• A 10% discount on art purchases, art classes, lectures and workshops.
• A 10% discount on admission to all institutional members of the Vermont Museum and Gallery Alliance
• Advance notice of exhibition openings, special events, classes and workshops
• Invitations to Member Only events
• Slides of your work will be in rotation on the front page of our website (Please see note below)
• Opportunity to link from our website to yours

Application Procedure
The Chaffee Art Committee, which is composed of approximately 12 artists and art professionals, juries for membership four times per year. Although applications may be submitted at any time, you may wish to call for the next jury date.

To apply, the Committee requires you submit:

• Six professional-quality digital images of your work.
• A list of the images you are submitting. Include the title, medium, price and dimensions of the piece.
• A current biography or resume. Be sure to include your address, phone number and E-mail address.

You will be notified of the Art Committee's decision within one week following the next scheduled jury date. If you are accepted, there is a membership fee of $50 per year.
